Damn, that sucks. I can only imagine how bummed someone would be if they made a bunch of FOBs/items/etc. over years only to lose it.

I don't really play online but it's mostly the resource/soldier grind in singleplayer that I'm annoyed over.

Ahh. You can increase the amount of soldiers you can get (and, thus, power up all areas of weather detection, item creation, etc.) by making more FOBs, though, and the game drip-feeds you its special currency every few days to help with that. If you got a lot of S++ soldiers, well...yeah, deleted data is a huge setback.

I presume you already checked your cloud saves and stuff?

The glitched save data is still there online so I'm not missing resources but because it glitched and gave me like a million resources, I never played online.

On the brightside I might go through the game again without skipping the cutscenes.
I think it might be time to understand the story.

Losing save data hurts more than losing games. Truly.

Just cheat to get S++ soldiers then or better yet download a 100% save?

Because if I do decide to go through it again I'll be using Infinite Heaven to make the game an actual challenge.
I only used Cheat Engine because the hospital section is incredibly slow and boring. It's not like I gave myself infinite health and just ran around kidnapping soldiers to play military commander with

Imma be honest Infinite Heaven and all S++ Soldiers together made the game more difficult because I would blow resources super fast on single items in the early game.

It cuts out a lot of the post game grind but makes early game harder to manage. Well maybe not harder but you really have to put thought into what you want to research.

Wait how did it make it more difficult with all S++ soldiers? You mean all the enemies are S++?

When you have S++ in early game you unlock high level, high cost items faster so like yeah you can get an op item early but you will either have to spend more time hunting resources to unlock them or be stuck with a deficit of resources which can restrict what you take on deployments.

Of course I also didnt play with FOBs on so that can make it harder too.

As an example: I unlock something op early that requires a ton of metal resource, but now in so low in said resource I cant take C4 with me on deployments unless I go out of my way to hunt the metal resource down. And when I get to the part where I need a rocket launcher I dont have enough on hand to research it.

Oh okay. I think after you get the ability to fulton containers from rescuing the specialist dude in mission 10 the resource grind is mostly gone.
Plus outside of the tranq gun I never really used anything, maybe some C4 for a distraction.

It can effect tranq gun rounds too. Everything costs resources but you never really notice on a normal playthrough cause of how its balanced.

I'm just saying S++ soldiers just unlock stuff but it doesnt really feel like a cheat unless you go for infinite resources or something. It can open up more of a management side of the game if you're into that sort of thing.

I know what you mean but generally I just pumped up the base management for more/faster resources then didn't unlock much. Some of the stuff is nice but a lot of it was pointless to me.
