The problem was that it was really fucked up hours and I was drinking to keep myself awake at nights I was off for when we'd switch to nights

Hang in there. I don't speak from experience, but indirectly from friend's life. Admitting you need help is one of the biggest steps. He still struggles but has been sober for at least 6 months now. Which for him is pretty good.

I'll be perfectly fine honestly, I took 3 weeks off recently to see if I really did have a problem with drinking or not and I drank maybe 2-3 times. After considering all the factors I went through when I spent money on drinking and it was showing an increase over the past year (yay bank account recording when I buy booze) even into the days I'd work so I'd be at work hungover
