As a teen I thought my 20's would be the peak of my life, but all I got was depression and self loathing

I'm still in my 20s. I don't remember what I expected, but at least I have a career.

20s sucked cause I was always broke and sleepless from school and work. I have some money now but feel too old

They were ok. I spent alot of time working in night clubs and apprenticing so it was alot of hard work an little sleep. Also, very little time for dating.

Now that I'm in my 30s I have more time and money to date and go out but less drive to.

They were insanely hard and awesome. I was often working 3 jobs and learning a new language every 3 months, rubbing elbows with people I never thought I'd meet, and it was brilliant and horrible. I wouldn't do it again or recommend it, but it was stellar.

24 right now. College was fun. Failing at the job hunt right now isnt so fun.

I was much more shy in my 20s so not a whole lot of action with females. Some dates but nothing crazy.

I did pretty much go to the mountains for vacation once a month or so (minus winter time) on my 900cc race replica bike which was fun as hell. Nothing like hitting a wide sweeper curve going down the mountain at 120 mph. Plus you pretty much have total freedom with your speed without getting in trouble which is a feeling of total awesomeness. It's nice to be able to crank that engine and not worry about speed constantly especially when you have a bike that does 0-100 mph in 5.5 seconds. I remember one time I was doing 85 in a 55 zone and they came up my ass. I'm like oh shit here comes the lights and a $150 fine but nope, instead he passed me and continued down the highway at over 100 mph. I tried to keep up with him but I didn't want to lose it on a corner (road was new to me) so I slowed back down to the comfort zone.

I'm 30 now and I have slowed down quite a bit but I can still comfortably hit said curve at around 90. ;) Man now I can't wait for next spring....

24 at the end of the month, there's good and bad. Loved college and studying and being productive, glad I really made the most of it.

Worst part so far is relationships, been on and off with the same girl for 8 years and now that it's officially over (this is the longest we've gone separated and not talking) I'm realizing how stupid I was in all the times I'd said "This time things will be different." I loved that girl, hell I still fucking do, and most days I spend all my time thinking I don't want anybody else, but it's been so unproductive for me.

My 20s weren't great for me

• went to jail twice, one time staying 28 days, still not a felon though
• went to a evangelical rehab that was full of jail birds, had to fight twice, almost had to stab someone there
• went to a pill mill and got hooked on methadone, xanax, and oxycodone 30mg pills
• Was a dope fiend/drug dealer that put everyone who loved me through hell
• multiple friends died, including my best one in the world, my on and off ex gf, she died 9 days before I turned 30

There are things I can't even mention that I've seen in my 20's. I'm very happy to had made it out and not be in prison or shooting dope in my veins. I think it took my best friend dying to make me wise up a tad.

Im 22. It blows so far. College I went to was terrible. Shitty friends for the most part. Most of the girls I run across are bonkers.

At least the video games are good.

Yes. But so did my 30's. I am not expecting great things of my 40's.

They had their ups and downs, but it was a very exciting and fruitful decade in my life for sure.
