Well, this is interesting. Warner Bros. just dropped two big scheduling changes for their slate. First, they have dated The Flash for July 1, 2022. The long (long, long)-in-development DC Films flick, which will still apparently star Ezra Miller as Barry Allen, currently has It helmer Andy Muschietti attached to direct, but little is known about the project that has bounced around in development hell since the initial Here are all the DC Films movies were making! shareholder call back in October of 2014. One advantage is that the flag-in-the-sand release date makes it one of the only outright titled summer releases, alongside Mission: Impossible 8 in August and Black Panther 2 in May and DC Super Pets over Memorial Day weekend. James Wans Aquaman 2 is still slated for December 16, 2022, alongside the next Star Wars.
Will a Flash movie finally happen this time? Will CWs The Flash still be on the air by July of 2022? If DC Films is still on solid footing by then, going for their current streak (Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Shazam and Joker) and following it up with well-liked and well-received Birds of Prey, Wonder Woman 1984, The Batman, The Suicide Squad and Black Adam, well, The Flash may be in a situation where it somewhat coasts on merely being a DC Films flick, which would be a hell of a development for those whove followed the DC Comics movie melodrama over the last six years. If DC Films is still kicking ass by the time Aquaman 2 drops in December of 2022, Warner Bros. might as well #releaseTheSnyderCut of Justice League just for the hell of it.

Lionsgate is gonna back down in the end I'm betting. John Wick 4 is big, but they know WB has the deeper pockets with Matrix and it's a revival from 20 years ago, so they'll change the date.

Also, the Star Wars release for December is still from what D&D were working on, which they dropped from. That date might be outdated at this point.

Meh, they're really going to run John Wick to the ground aren't they?

It was never meant to have a sequel, but it did. Somehow they pulled it off and it was great, I liked it even more than the original.

But then the ending of that one made it REAL hard to have a good follow up. All assassins everywhere in the planet want to kill him now? The entire planet? Give me a break. And of course, living in the age we do, JW3 had to incorporate SJW pandering - enter the empowered spy womyn who don't need no man, who is so awesome that she can drink a bottle of water and then spit it on John's mouth just to humiliate him, and please include a 5 (or was it 10?) minute scene of her dogs castrating men with their jaws, because, girl power.

Don't get me wrong, JW3 was still a good film, just nowhere as good as the first 2, and it introduced many plot issues that make JW4 difficult to pull off like the supposedly dead assassin chiefs that will now be John's allies, the fact that there's an over-arching criminal syndicate overlooking the criminal syndicate, and that is oddly obsessed with civility and rules, and other issues like that.

I don't see JW4 shaping as a good film, but I hope I am wrong, I am a big fan of the first two.

Yeah I ended up reading about the Flash hahaha
