Why am I a fucking sucker who is getting super excited about what all this Bleach anniversary lead up is building to with Kubo?

I didn't even care about Bleach anymore after I dropped it.

I guess the concept of a Bleach redo anime led by him is just tol strong. Every shit thing about where that series went was him being fed up with his editors forcing him to do stuff and having the passion for it driven out of it from him as a result.

Give me "The Kubo Cut"

His art is still some of the best in the business.

Also we're really seeing an era where shonen anime is actually getting adapted well and not just for the lowest common denominator. A redo of butchered anime lile Bleach could be amazing.

Not to mention the opportunity to redo thr ending.

No doubt. People give him shit for what it devolved into in regards to backgrounds and layouts, but again, all signs point to that just being fatigue because he was forced to do so many things he didn't want to in that story.

I would not want this, because I don't think that ending or last chunk is what he even wanted. Remember, he was suddenly forced to end it in 3 chapters.

I would MUCH rather them start from scratch, Brotherhood style, get some real good pacing in there without the threat of catching up to the manga, filler free. Most importantly, Studio Pierrot nowhere in sight. Pretty much anything post Soul Society I truly beleive is completely subject to change.

Kubo's name is all over these news stories, so I have some faith that this will be meaningful, whatever it ends up being, even if all this is a pipe dream.

I mean Id love a redo too, but I figure animating what remained of the manga is more likely than doing Bleach Brotherhood/Kai. That one-shot he did set in the Bleach universe or whatever about witches is getting an OVA from what I heard, but no idea if hes gonna make it a full series yet

Uh, what's there to redo in Bleach? Wasn't the stuff from the manga adapted pretty well and with good pacing, generally? All you have to do is skip the filler arcs.

Anything that's bad in the anime was just as bad in the manga.

Everything after Soul Society is subject to incredible pacing issues, not to mentions the absurd amount of filler, many of which they canonized in the anime and forced into places it wasn't supposed to be in.

Even Soul Society was victim to some slow pacing that could use some tightening up.

They butchered the grand fisher storyline too!

Pre soul society should actually be emphasized a little more imo.

I highly doubt they do anything so ambitious though.

The more likely think would be some video game or something, and considering the last few major Jump games that got "big pushes" were total stinkers like Kakarot and Jump Force, and Jump likes to pretend those games were totally fine and absolutely what people wanted, that would be the least hype imaginable.

I guess a straight up whole new series would be cool, but there's SO MUCH Bleach marketing around the announcement that I just don't see it.

No way man, that game blows. It's an even more dumbed down and simplified combat system from most of the behind the back DB games with pointless RPG mechanics tacked on, and an empty open world exploration system with total shit repetive sidequests where you just fly around collecting orbs all day. Nothing about that game is engaging or fun at all.

Don't let absolutely crazy people like Shine trick you into thinking that game has value. It's the same trash as always. NOTHING about that game deserves any extra praise than any other random jump anime shovelware except they decided to put a bunch of marketing behind it, it's the same low effort dump as always.

I would straight up rather play Jump Force, and that game is TERRIBLE.

Ive heard its pretty good other than skipping great character moments for whatever bizarre reason. Give me a DB game that covers the entire story from DB to the end of Super. Hell Id even settle for Z to the end of Super.

Not really sure how anyone can call that game pretty good unless you're standards are literally bottom of the barrel because you've excepted that it will never get better.

The show is amazing imo. I tried the demo of the game and had a hard time getting into it sadly. It just felt weird.

I was literally shocked at how soul suckingly boring the story mode stuff in that KLKif demo was. The combat seemed whatever, but the story cutscenes were otherworldly in the dullness of their presentation.

KLK still a great show.

Well this episode (8) was weird and introduced a character like it skipped over their content and I was supposed to know who it was somehow. Megumin & Kazuma had some funny interactions in it though so it was pretty enjoyable. Shes easily the least useless party member he has even if she passes out from MP exhaustion all the time.

Episode 9 got the biggest laugh out of me yet.

Konosuba S1 beated. Ill be watching the OVA next. Pretty decent show with some good laughs in some episodes. Megumin absolutely blows everyone else away in the show though even after all these episodes. For side characters who appeared Id like to see Chris again. Surprised there werent any thieving quests with her or anything.

Spent the last three hours watching all of Netsuzou Trap. I'm not sure why it is that Citrus is the butt of jokes when this show exists.

BOFURI continues to the sleeper action hit of the season, hidden in the Moe MMO coating.

Some very impressive mid shot transitions between hand drawn and CG character models in that mid episode fight, without even using some kind of effect/wipe/transition to cover it, as the character moves fromm the background to the foreground on screen.

Also just some real fun and inventive stuff in the fights in general.
