I ended up finally getting around to watching Heaven's Feel Part 1

Boy they really make sure to let you know that this should NOT be the first Fate thing you're watching, they BREEZE by all that first stuff. This being the Sakura route, was kind of hoping Sakura would be doing more but there's still 2 more parts to go so we'll see. Shinji is still a little bitch.

Eizouken is just incredible. Cant imagine a world where this fails to be an AotY frontrunner already. Railgun is a triumphant return, hopefully it doesnt fall apart Like Ive been told Accelerator and Index 3 did. Somali is a huge surprise, just a joy to take in, but the biggest surprise is Runway. Not only did I have no expectations, I actively loathed it for the first few minutes! But damn if it didnt come together in a big way.

Madoka is a tough one to pin down. It was a completely fine episode, though not exactly an explosive opening, and it would be nigh IMPOSSIBLE to live up to its name, but I want to give it a fair shake. Invaded has a ton of potential, but it started out pretty damn messy. Bofuri and Science Fell in Love are both easy fun shows that surprised me, and theyre not gonna be blowing any socks off but I dont see myself dropping them unless they just lose all steam.

This is where we get the iffy stuff. I enjoyed Budokan, guiltily. Its not actually good, though. One wrong move and its getting tossed. Asteroid seemedike a lot of fun as an opener for the season, but with the rest of Winter 2020 playing its hand I dont think its gonna have a place. Darwins Game is definitely gonna be trash, but the kind that Ill probably keep watching for a while out of morbid curiosity. Orphen is a personal last place, supremely dissapointing to me as an anime that was on my.2018 most anticipated list, and is only not a drop out of desperation that itll turn around.

I can barely even remember Heaven's Feel Part 1 other than a few key scenes. Part 2 is pretty overwhelming, lol. The street chase to swamp stands out the most in my mind.

Oh it gets going once it skips over all the first stuff, it's a little disorientating with how quick it is at first but like, I get it since everyone should know the set up and what not for Stay Night by now. I enjoyed it.

Heaven's Feel movies so good.

Early Heaven's Feel is possibly the worst part of the entire visual novel and yet the movie was still fantastic. Once the route gets going it really gets going though and the 2nd movie did not disappoint. Hopefully the 3rd one continues the trend.

This is what I was thinking, once Part 1 got going it was firing off alot of neat things so Part 2 not being bogged down with having to start things and set up can only make me think it'll be great throughout the whole thing

Having to go to FUNi to check out much more than usual, it's really hitting more than ever how terrible their app is. Not to mention they just refuse to sub any on screen text, which is a big issue for assume scenes.

That took a while to finish because I'm having power surges from a storm, but...woah.

I certainly wasn't expecting THAT. There's definitely a lot of things this show is gonna wanna say, and it's using quite the fantastical setup to do so. What a tone to start on. Not to mention that the cast seems VERY strong at first blush.

I'm gonna be prioritizing 22/7 a lot. Might even be battling it out with Eizouken for the season.

Oh I thought there would be more MHA discussion. So I'll just sum it up with Dang, Izuku

No one cares about MHA anymore lol

But as a manga reader I feel like the anime didn't quite adapt this to the level it could have. It's hard to pinpoint why but I think the pace was sped up too much when it got to the action.

Infinite Dendrogram ep1 - Was ok surprisingly. Not amazing, but not bad. Definitely better than the other two anime I have checked out so far though beating Plunderer should be easy even for trash lol

I mean you have pretty much only watched the low tier stuff so far, lol. Which services do you have again, just FUNi? If so, would check out Bofuri, Runway, and 22/7. Somali should have it's episode 1 unlocked on Crunchyroll from last week.

I care about MHA! I just don't really have anything in particular to post here about it.

I really liked Mirio's and Kirishima's episodes, but I actually haven't been as big on the Deku vs Overhaul fight that's happening now. It's still good just not really the highlight of the arc for me when it feels like it's supposed to be.

Vegeta has become such a good parent. Honestly Vegeta is just such a great character who almost constantly gets better. He should just take over the main character role.

Just looked up that Uchiwakamaru vs Tiamat fight because of gh Crunchy vote, and maybe I do need to go back and watch this show.

Man, all the ingredients are there for Magia Record except for me actually caring. Hopefully it gets there...

Eizouken ep1 - was ok. The last third or so was decent and the OP is nice song wise. Main girl has a really weird/unique voice and the funky visuals help it stand out. Definitely seems like something that could improve too.

That being said its a damn shame Yamcha didnt get to be in the tournament of power when realistically even after stopping fighting he still shouldve been significantly above Roshis level :(. At least FighterZ and that Reincarnated as Yamcha manga gave him some love

Based on what exactly? There's never any indication Yamcha's stronger than full-power Roshi.

Uh based on the fact its just absurd to believe Roshi wouldve rather had the Earth be destroyed if he was secretly strong enough all along that he couldve stopped every villain up to like Buu. Since Roshi retires from fighting altogether in DB (until Super) and everything power wise eclipses that in Z its just hard to believe literally everybody didnt pass him. I mean you might as well say whats there to prove Roshi at Full Power isnt stronger than Vegeta and Goku

Uh, no? Roshi beats Yamcha back in DB, IIRC, and Yamcha never really gets stronger than he was in DB classic.

If Roshi was really stronger when Earth was virtually fucked due to Goku being dead and 2 stronger Saiyans on the way why didnt Roshi do anything? Literally clown Chiaotzu and Yajirobe did and theyre trash. Yamcha definitely got stronger than his DB self and even though he never really won fights he at least managed to not die to a Cell Jr who was significantly stronger than anything else he had fought. If he was as weak as his DB self the Cell Jr couldve literally killed him in a single punch or kick

Oh right, forgot to mention that I actually finished Kandagawa Jet Girls.

Went in expecting trash, but it wasn't....that bad. Yeah some of the character designs were trashy and the fan service was dumb at times, but the interaction between the two main girls were pretty endearing. Though I really didn't care for the jet racing part. That's probably better saved for the game itself.

Now, by no means do I think it's good either, and it's not saving anime like Valkyrie Drive did. I just thought it was ok.

Honestly, the most offensive thing about it was this background track used when they started racing, where the beginning sounded like a rip-off of Eye of the Tiger.
