Developers clearly spend more time making more polished apps for iPhone than Android. I don't know why... There are more Android users than iPhone users!

because iphones are generally standard.
You know if your app works with ios 13 on an iphone made in the last two years, it will work on all of them

With Android, companies tend to add their own tweaks and customization to Androids and it can make it harder to test. So your app performs perfectly on the newest generation of iPhones. Great. You know anyone with a new generation of the iPhone can use it.
With Android, you'd have to test all the flagship models to make sure it's compatible and even then, you'd still most likely have to have the model to test out the bugs.

My daily driver is an LG G7 ThinQ. I also have an iPhone 6S as my backup phone.

The apps I use now are terrible for Android, but are actually good for Apple. I'm thinking of actually making the switch to an iPhone 11.

Less devices to code apps for means that there's more time to make the ones that are on those devices as good as possible.

On the flip side, if you've never used Apple before and just got one because of work peer pressure you're far past fucked. I have no idea how to do anything on this giant thing.

When I used my friends android phone it felt like I was using a chinese bootleg device. It worked, sure. But it felt like the whole system was held together with digital tape and string

I find most common things fairly well placed or easy to access on both. But I guess I do use both often. Which phone are you having trouble with and what's not working quite the way you want? Hopefully we can get a quick fix.
