I mean if we're being honest, for what it was meant to be, Ep1 was fine. And Ep3 was a legitimately good movie.

Episode 1 was fine outside of the midichlorian bullshit. Episode 3 was not good. While it has some cool ideas they were poorly executed on and I still feel a little bit of cringe when I think about how they passed off that Vader no scene as a serious thing. That was like fucking robot chicken tier shit and they put it in the movie for real.

Episode 2 was awful, really awful. But it was still better than the last Jedi.

Episode 3 has some flaws but is very entertaining. One of the better SW movies.

Episode 1 has more flaws. Can drag a bit in places, Jar Jar was a mistake. But I think it has some great stuff too, some interesting lore, Qui Gon is great.

Episode 2 was probably the lowest in the list, but then TLJ happened. The romance part is really bad, but some other parts are still quite entertaining.

It's a good movie wrapped around one of the stupidest 20 seconds in the series. At very least, that scene gave us some laughs.

The flaws will fade into the background because theyve been pointed out to death. People will appreciate what the movie does well (surprise its a lot)

You know what? I think if that they had a mole/spy in the rebel fleet, you could make the movie make a lot more sense.

Instead of getting betrayed by some random dude they met in jail, what if it the random dude didn't betray them at all but a mole/spy character? And that was why Holdo didn't want to reveal the plan even through a mutiny, since it was somehow evident that there was a spy that could leak their destination to the First Order so enemies are waiting at their haven?

That could have been cool and would have pissed a lot less people off, and I don't really think you'd have to change that much of the movie.

To be fair, the humor is probably what's going to date the movie more than anything else. I doubt the trend will last more than another decade.

It's like watching 90's/early 2000's movies with terrible love stories (Mission Impossible 2 and Episode 2 come to mind).

The yo mamma joke had no place in TLJ but it did show how stupid the film was going to get.

Luke chucking his lightsaber over his shoulder with no fucks given also set the tone for the film.
