Gotta go with JJ. Gonna go with the worst work i've seen by both of them, and TLJ can't even reach "Holiday Special" levels of Star Wars.

rj has Looper and Knives Out, two films that are significantly better than anything Abrams has ever directed

Abrams' legacy will be ruining the two biggest sci-fi properties. dude is a hack, or at least one in terms of writing. he can direct but he can't write a script to save his life

This is true. I want to say I enjoyed Super 8, but I cant remember a thing about it.

Honestly don't like either. Johnson works better with TV (Looper isn't great...Haven't seen Knives Out) and Abrams doesn't have an ounce of creativity.

Outside of Last Jedi I never disliked on of Rian Johnson's other movies I saw. And Last Jedi isn't entirely his movie since he was continuing JJ's work. JJ has made a lot of movies I didn't like, so Rian wins.

Rian.

Even if you remove their Star Wars films from the equation, I've enjoyed Brick, Looper and Knives Out (haven't seen Brothers Bloom yet) more than M:I3, Super 8 and the two Star Trek films...

That's from Wikipedia and it's the genre of the film, so what's the problem?

Johnson is the best director of the three.

Everything Abrams has made is mediocre and just seems to be riding off another work.

Snyder doesn't seem to understand adaptations.

Rian made an awful Star Wars movie and Looper really makes no sense, but he's directed quality things.

Only movie of Johnsons I've seen was TLJ, which I did not derive enjoyment from. From JJ I've seen star trek 1 and 2, force awakens, and cloverfield. I liked star trek 1 and tfa, so I guess JJ

I'd check out Looper. Even if the logic doesn't hold it's a fun movie. Also, if you like mysteries, Knives Out is just plain amazing.

Knives out was spoiled for me. I probably would have seen it if not for that but I'm not really a fan of murder mysteries. I hateJoseph Gordon Levitt but I love Bruce Willis. Idk if I'll ever see looper but I might see it for Bruce at some point

Aw that sucks. Fair enough though. He also did some of Breaking Bad, if that's your thing :)
