I really dug D:OS2, so I was thinking of getting the first game, and was wondering if there's any reason to.

especially since it costs more than I would have expected for the PS4 ($50+ new, depending on where you look)

2 has better combat mechanics but 1 still does some other things better. It's worth playing

thanks.

besides that, is the gameplay pretty much similar (outside of being able to play elves, dwarves, undead, and lizards)?

Personally, I just find dos 2 a huge direct improvement over 1. I don't think I could go back to 1 now.

thanks again to all of you.

I was thinking of either getting D:OS or replaying part two, but I feel like despite all of the options D:OS2 provides, it still might be nice to have an experience where I don't know what to expect, for the most part.

and I can't think of any other games that provide the same kinda experience as they do.
