For one it spoils who's going to be in the episode despite a major plot point that's going to happen and two it distracts the shows flow in the beginning. Maybe it's just me but damn it's a dumb idea that shouldn't be copied.

I like credits if theres a good cold opening.

Makes me think "hey what's going to happen next"

They typically either leave the spoiler person out of the credits or relegate them to closing credits only. There are also times where a cast member appears in the credits but not in the episode.

Sometimes shows need a little bit of a spoiler to give and idea what it is overall about and keep people watching, especially if it has a slow start.
