Really fun game, I I love the game's sense of humor, I love the extended 2D sections, I love the crossover with Mario, I love the ice block puzzles in Turtle Rock dungeon (I wish there was more of that), and I love that jumping is a big part of the game. Overall it's a fun Zelda game.

I really like the story that the game is a dream, but I think they made one mistake with it tbh. They should have built a stronger relationship with Marin and made the player sad that they had to let her go. It seemed like they were going for that but just stopped at the very end for some reason. Huge missed opportunity tbh.

What do you mean?

The last time you talk to Marin is after level 7 (of 8, + the final boss), and she is about to say I love you or w/e but you never see her again.

Unless there is an optional ending of some sort?

I mean that's why I like the game's story but they really messed up with that.

If you beat the game without dying once (IMO kinda difficult on the early parts due to only having 3 hearts), Marin appears reincarnated as a seagull, this still happens in the remake. Though no, there's nothing else aside from that. I think the other poster meant that you learn that everything is a dream a while before you beat the game, right before the Face Shrine dungeon

Yes, but that would have been a good aspect to focus on especially after you realize the twist of the game, and also they were seemingly building up for that but just stopped with no conclusion.

Another thing, I wish the entire game was as difficult as the last dungeon and the Final Boss. The rest of the game is pretty easy, both puzzle-wise and gameplay-wise.

The final boss wasn't that difficult, was it? I don't remember having any real trouble with it.

I agree. Eagle's Tower is pretty renowned for the dungeon design.

Keep in mind the original game was a modern marvel on the Gameboy and brought Zelda dungeons to the handheld just two years after ALttP came out on a much more powerful system.

It's not "hard" but you can't just stand there and spam attacks like with most other bosses in the game.

Yeah, I should have said last two dungeons. Eagle's Tower and Turtle Rock are both great.
