Your daughter's coming over for dinner to introduce you to her new girlfriend because they are getting serious and may be moving in together (although they are arguing about who will move in with who). She says they met at a party and she fell for her after she heroically effortlessly beat up a group of black Dragon thugs who tried to steal her drugs.

"Oh here she comes now Daddy, I hope you made a big dinner because my Sheevyweevie has quite the appetite."

Then your wife's jaw nearly hits the floor as the 7+ feet tall, 490 pound 4 armed half dragon giant leaps from out of the sky with a dramatic thud. She takes a few steps forward, then realizes she is carrying a skull in hand and effortlessly crushes it between her fingers saying "Opps, forgot I still had it."

She walks up to your front door, barely able to squeeze through it after your daughter opens it for her.

When your daughter told you her girlfriend wasn't around much because of her dayjob in Outworld, you assumed it was another town or company, not another realm. You also finally understand her "I wish she had 4 boobs too" joke that previously flew over your head.

Your daughter then sets up 2 seats for her at the table (she needs 2) but realizes no one has sat down because the two of you are staring at each other.
