I did at first also. Once you find a weapon you like it gets better.

Can't you just grind a little and steamroll the bosses like any other Metroidvania game?

Last two night have been tequila central in my house. Wife and I went through half a 1.5 liter of 1800 Silver last night. Looking to nearly finish it tonight.

Early stages you have to get through a couple before the game really opens up. I struggled with it the first couple hours but once I was able to freely access a lot of the map and understand the weapon upgrading and finding what I liked it got easier. It's a bit like Monster Hunter as the weapons all handle quite differently, some I couldn't use and some felt a bit OP.

It might not be too difficult for others, I just suck at it. I'm not really used to that kind of game.

Yeah it definitely does, I was able to breeze through SotN, but I definitely died a lot playing Bloodstained. It's not like Dark Souls or something like that, but definitely harder than the typical Castlevania game.

Sounds completely fine to me. I don't need much challenge...just more than SotN. I had trouble with SotN's first boss duo. Then after I leveled up twice and took care of them, I was OP the rest of the game.
