They have a good roster, but Mariota was holding them back. I hope Tannehill re-signs with them

You underestimate them going in with an inexperienced QB. I really think it was entirely a coaching loss. Ravens have been used to being up all year, so Lamar had basically just been having fun every game, which is his zone. You get punched in the face by a better prepared team you expected to walk over, you have to dust yourself off quick and return to what you know. Instead, Ravens looked frantic all game playing catch up and gave the Titans offense easy drives. Morale forced a lot of turnovers despite otherwise decent offensive stats. Lamar isnt a Drew Brees, and they really shouldve slowed down and run more and stopped opting for stupid 4th down conversions. One fewer turnover and opting to punt over high risk 4th down conversions and I think youd have a much closer result.

Not to take away from the Titans accomplishments. They were the better team last night, easily. They completely deconstructed the favorite going into the post season and made the most of the opportunities it afforded them. Derrick Henry is also an absolute beast.

Ravens defense wasn't able to stop Derrick Henry. Lamar Jackson had 300 passing yards and 100 rushing yards, but made a few mistakes here and there with a couple interceptions and a fumble. Also there were a number of dropped passes by the Ravens receivers.

Going back to Louisville vs Houston in 2016, Lamar has been really bad in major games

Those yards are absolutely meaningless. He threw the ball an astounding 59 times and barely completed 50%.

It wasn't until the 4th he began moving the ball only because the Titans allowed him too.

Lamar is a great dude. Humble as fuck and competitive.

The media did its job again at taking a young player and make him look unstoppable and the next big thing without proving he can win a playoff game. RG3 all over again.

The problem is Lamar has a long way to go as QB. He still stares down receivers, when he has to go through reads he suffers. He under and over throws receivers. When he has a cushion and zero pressure he can play safer and it opens alot up for him. When playing from behind hes a completely different player.

Inevitable at some point when he runs hes going to get crushed. He cant rely on his legs for the rest of his career.

Titans were 100% more prepared and any unbiased enthusiast said the Titans were a BAD matchup for the Ravens.

It's easier to out athlete and espn highlight on regular season defenses that are playing at half speed and aren't allowed to touch receivers.

Not as easy when the refs let shit go in the playoffs, you've got a season full of bruises, against defenses that are much more dialed in, disciplined in their gaps, and giving full effort.
