Assuming you are working and/or going to school. You save money.

Sounds like a bullshit American thing. No one cares in Australia.

Nothing. Just get ready for people to judge you.

I take care of my disabled parent so I'll be getting judged for a long time <_<

My parents are perfectly healthy right now. You've got nothing to be ashamed of.

The wrong part is that you're saving money because you're pushing it onto your parents. They deserve some compensation too.

Real men live off the government like me.

There's nothing inherently wrong with it, but there are definitely co-morbid factors associated with living with your parents that aren't appealing to e.g. potential dating partners.

Its better to be independent because it becomes hard to give up an easier lifestyle, but thats becoming harder and harder in society. Needing to struggle with finances daily just to barely exist for a lot of people is horrible.

Nothing. I lived at home through college and it was great and saved tons of money. Only drawback is unless you're parents are gone, ain't bringing no honey back to your place lol

Having a place to call your own is far more satisfying than liking with your parents. And it's totally worth having to give up all the luxuries that come with living with them.

It's not that hard to move out if you actually want it. I feel like a lot of people who say they can't afford it just use that as an excuse for being unwilling to make any changes to their lifestyle and spending habits.

It's definitely not looked down upon nearly as much in the last decade as it was for years and years prior, but there is definitely still some stigma about it.

My brother's Chinese friend (36) lives at home with his parents but he has a $100,000/yr job and they all live in a nice apartment in midtown Manhattan.
