First thing they taught me when I was training for my security licenses, was trying to break up a fight is the easiest way to get hurt. Let them fight, and tire each other out. Call the cops instead.

I would not physically intervene. There are a bunch of reasons, but mainly theres too much risk involved. At most, I might call law enforcement.

Its 2020, so there is no reason for anyone to feel guilty or obligated to get involved.

Call the cops. I've encountered these situations before and you'd be surprised how often the woman, not just the man, comes after you for getting in their business. You think your helping and the next thing you know you're outnumbered with two riled up people coming after you.

Depends on the situation. Lots of info is missing here. So, it's hard to make a decision. But probably nothing. It's not my business. And I don't want to get hurt. Also, I don't know their history, or what was happening before I appeared on the scene...

If others were around, I might try to intervene verbally. Maybe something like, "Not here, guys", "Go somewhere else", or "Please stop". But there may not be much I can do... Or even should do...

Four years ago: I intervene verbally if not physically.

Today after being hit, punched, ball kicked, spit on, slapped, and emotionally abused by a woman who said she loved me: I stay the fuck out of it.
