When the plane is over sold and they start giving out travel vouchers, how much would it have to be for you to take it? Let's assume the next available flight is in 5-8 hours and you wouldn't be missing any event like work

in that case i wouldnt have because i was only spending 2 nights in vegas on a two week holiday so time was v tight

It's been an option quite a few times for me, I've never done it before though. The offered amount is usually low. They're offering a $500 voucher to give up my seat though. The next flight would leave about in 10 hours.

If it was like 5 hours, and a weekday, where I'd just do work shit with the time, I'd probably do it.

I guess it is a US thing. There's usually an offer for someone to give up their seats in many flights I've been on.

Would depend on when the next available flight I guess, but ya, if it doesn't work for your schedule it wouldn't really be an option for you.
