I have 6 small meals a day so I'm not sure which one is dinner but it doesn't matter because they are all brown rice. Same as yesterday, same as tomorrow.

Yesterday I made a roast lamb shoulder. Took the leftovers today and made lamb saag on basmati rice with naan bread.

The curry flavour is very weak in this saag. I'll have to note that for next time.

Got a burger and steak fries at Sizzler today......for free.

Interestingly enough if you sign up for their fan club you get a free burger and fries, you don't need to purchase aaything etc (Drink not included but you don't have to get one).

I went last week because they had a steak + potato+ buffet deal for $12 and it was good. When I went they needed to see the special so I went on their website on their phone and saw I could sign up for their membership thing for free.

I did, and got a free burger and fries coupon.

Having now used it, I have to wonder what keeps people from just signing up with new emails and getting free burgers all the time. While you obviously couldn't keep doing it at the same sizzlers, there are tons of em, so you could pretty much just travel from one to another and get a free burger every day lol.

Also, that burger was DAMN good. I mean it's normally $10, which is a bit steap for a burger and fries, but it was a good 1/2 pound burger, and superior to any I have had in the recent past (maybe last 10 years even). The fries were steak fries which are my favorite, and it came with garlic/cheesy bread as well. Very nice and satisfying meal. I'll actually pay that much in the future for it, even though $10 for a burger seems a bit much to me.

The steak was decent the other day, but not any better than steaks I make myself at home, so hadn't actually planned on going back (the buffet is ok, but nothing great and I don't eat that much anymore). The burger though.....that is worth the 10 minute drive easy.

Had a beef tenderloin steak with corn on the cob (Not in season, but it was only 5 cobs for 5 dollars and I was in the mood) and some mixed melon spears (cantaloupe, honey dew, and pineapple).

I made a chicken pesto pasta last night, and I used the leftover chicken pesto to make some grilled sandwiches today.

I was disappointed in my last attempt at short ribs, so I'm making them again. Should be ready in about an hour. Serving it with sides of garlic mash and steamed broccoli.

For dessert I just finished the prep work for cardamom roasted oranges, which I will serve with ice cream.

I was right, they just needed about an hour longer than what I cooked last time. This time they are delicious.

What recipe/cook time/temp did you end up going with? I used to have one but I have forgotten it, but I'm gonna try making them again soon.

Oven baked at 250F for around 4.5 hours.

I made a paste with 2 tbsp brown sugar, 1tbsp garlic powder, 1tbsp chili powder, 1tsp paprika, 1tsp cumin, and 1 tbsp olive oil. Coated the ribs then wrapped individually in tinfoil. Wrapped all the ribs together in another layer of tinfoil. Then chuck it on a baking tray and let slowly cook.

If you wanted, you could coat it in BBQ sauce after and broil it for a few minutes to get a nice glaze as well.

Gravy made from the drippings is incredibly greasy and delicious.

With chicken+egg+rice? Yeah, that's crab and protein heavy as hell, I'd get more fat going right to sleep.

When I stopped at Walmart the other day they had deep dish pizzas on clearance for $3 each (normally $6), so I bought all of them.
