S4 is okay. Its another one that is good in context. The ED is great though.

I almost never skip OPs or EDs if Im watching week-to-week.

If Im binging, I watch the opening for the first episode I start and the ED of the last episode i stop at.

i always watch the OP and ED of the last few episodes of a series.

I feel like OPs are usually amazing and EDs are usually pretty whatever. Literally in all of my years are anime the only ed that really stands out to me is the first Hunter x Hunter ed

EDs are so versatile. They can be a way to decompress after an episode. The chill ones usually give you glimpses into parts of the characters life and world. Its fluff, but cute fluff. Or in some cases, theyre a great way to punctuate the story. Like, Madoka Magica made gratuitous use of its EDs and almost every time it was worth it. JoJos use of Roundabout was almost an art form

Of course, you also run into the problem of the ED thematically clashing with what you just watched. Especially painful if the episode ends with a dramatic character death, and immediately cuts to the cast doing their signature happy dance >_>
