I will I guess, but I just wanted to see the coupon I have go through.

And you are right, it is St. Louis-style pizza, the "cracker-crust" pizza.

Each Imo's is different.

Although the Imo's I'm ordering from is in Columbia, Missouri and while the pizza is fine, the one time I had toasted raviolis, the sauce smelled like SpaghettiO's (which I later confirmed to be just a problem with that one).

half-off any pizza.

Luckily, calling them will still work with the coupon. Just wanted the extra convenience when it came to it and the order itself.

Gonna order the pizza and some toasted raviolis (hopefully good this time). All I have to decide is when I should order it.

Yeah. I personally like the site better, as well. On the phone, is easy to mishear. And online, you can usually see the coupon taking half off to make sure it worked... And you don't have to talk to anyone...

As for ordering, before you're hungry, I guess. Depending on how long it'll take to get there...

Ive said it before, phone ordering was better. It was a problem that didnt need to be fixed.

I definitely disagree. It works. But depending on the place, it's not always better...

You practically have to wait until it is half off before these pizzas start to feel like they are worth the price. They are already less filling than other pizza. There is a local St. Louis style place near me that does 9.99 xtra-large pizzas on Monday, and that is basically the only day that it is good to actually order because otherwise you got $16+ pizzas on your plate.

It's just hard to justify getting one at normal price when the chain pizza places have $7-8 pizza available.

Imo's has always been weirdly overpriced. Even with a coupon, a pizza with ~2 toppings is nearly $20

The one thing that's good about them over other places is that they put a lot of toppings on, and the toppings are usually bigger and better than the average chain.

Even one of the guys in one of the shows says, For someone who does this, you don't know a lot about pizza.

Plus his cheese maintenance skills trigger me all the time.

Having said that, I am a bit of a Pizza snob, and I have to agree it looks like Meated Cheese Crackers.

Also lol @ Chicago Pizza elitists..if it's Chicago Style they are talking about.

Depends on the place, the day, and what you're ordering... Certain places may be busier, meaning you can be put on hold for a while. Also, certain days are busier, as well. Meaning being put on hold for longer. Or you call not going through if all lines are filled... Also, if you're ordering a lot, it can be easier online and less confusing for you and the people making the pizzas. On the phone, they may not take down everything correctly. But online makes it so that even if you have a bunch of different pizzas with many different combinations of toppings, it has a better chance of being correct. Also, since you're not on hold waiting for your chance, you order goes in right when you submit instead of however long after when you finally get to order on the phone... But it all depends...

Chicago isn't really even pizza, it's more like Pizza quiche.
Detriot is square pizza with thinker crust then a NY pizza.

I would take and Detriot style over Chicago any day.

The videos can be really pretty good, or fucking annoying and lame.
He's a bit of a douche overall. But the reviews are fun to bing watch.
I most agree with the reviews he did of the places I've been to.

I just remember my freshman year here, there were some kids that said once I had Shakespeare's pizza, it would make all other pizza taste like garbage.

It was the definition of mediocre. I've had it since, sometimes it can be good, but it is a very hit or miss place. It became apparent it became the college hotspot because of a built-up legacy as the go-to for college kids rather than taste itself.

Oh ya, I totally get that.
That would be Marion's here. It's good, but not something you would get a full pizza of.
But it was close to the highschool. So, it became babys first pizza. Good for a slice, maybe two, but that's it.
I should say, most of the kids at my high school were from the burbs our the country.
It's above-average square pizza with a nice kinda burnt cheese thing going, but largely overrated.
Basically really good bowling ale pizza.

And ya, I saw the Shakespeares.
It might be above average there, but just to look at it, I can tell it's too doughy. But at least they almost cut it right...which seems to be an issue there, in and of itself.

Also, there is a one bite vid of it.

Same with Marion's that I mentioned, but that one is a horrible review. I agree with what he said, but the review is annoying.

That Italian Village might be your best shot. But they only had a few pics so it's hard to tell.

BTW: I do this for fun when I'm board, so don't think I'm being weird.
Half of my Youtube algorithms are cooking vids of one kind or another.

Dude, when I was going through the list, I honestly was thinking the chains are probably the best bet.
That's scary. The whole round pizza square-cut thing...and just others where...Meh, at best. Yikes.

I was thinking, if someone who knew how to make a pizza went out there they would either make a killing, or, go under because no one would even recognize it.
New York might not be perfect, but at least we have food.

As for Detroit, it seems like generally a square deep dish style.
It seems they may sometimes do sauce on the top.
But overall it seems like reasonable deep dish pizza.
So, good highschool pizza.

Well, the square pizza will always be defended by someone in the St. Louis area like me, and tbf, I am pretty harsh towards local pizza as a whole. Mainly because they are usually more expensive, and hyped up a lot more than the chain stuff. I'm a creature of habit so I'll mainly get pizza from the chain stuff, so when I go out of my way to get local stuff, I really have high hopes. In the end, I think part of what I taste is the disappointment I feel, which probably negatively affects my whole thought of the pizza.

Pizza is the only food I feel this way about, if I go to a local restaurant of any other kind of food, BBQ, seafood, Mexican food, I'll usually have a great time, don't know why pizza is like that with me. Maybe because pizza is all I ate as a kid since I was so picky so the taste of chain pizza and frozen pizza such as totintos has a nostalgic, comforting feeling to it.

Idk, I might be looking too much into it. I'm nowhere near a critic, as I just said, I love totintos, legitimately.

No dude. From what I saw. Those options are better.
I'm just going to sound like a jerk, but I was kinda surprised at how unappealing the other options were.
That our, if there is a god, maybe you can find a place that sells good pizza daugh and make one at home.
An Oven Neapolitan style pizza isn't all that hard to make really.

I guess I take some things for granted. I was at my friends for a Christmas eve dinner, which was to be spaghetti based. But as it turns out they really didn't know where to start. I basically offered to take over. My cooking has heavy Italian influances, which I knew. But I didn't know how deep for real.

My dad will occasionally try to make his own pizza. Some were actually pretty good, including a Chicago-style pizza he made once. I mean, sometimes they were pretty bleh, but it was always exciting to have him make one because it was something that didn't happen often. We even replaced our typical stuffed crust pizza from the Hut that we would normally go for in favor of him making a St. Louis style pizza and some other pizza along with breadsticks.

I actually tried to make my own pizza last year, bought everything you would need, it was basically going to be as much from scratch as I could make it. Unfortunately, I lost the desire to do so, so there went over $100 worth of stuff. I was hoping a friend would make one with me as a thing just to do but he didn't want to.

Ya, it is a treat.
If you can find some premade daugh that is reasonably good though, it becomes way better.

Hell from what I've seen just getting some good Italian bread and making it sort of like garlic bread.
Though I shudder to think what passes for Italian bread down there. Still better than the....i can't believe I am saying this.....the mom and pop stuff you are offered.

I usually feel the same. Local places get hyped up so much. I think its just because many people grew up with them. So, its what they know and like. And they will say its worth the extra cost. Most of the time, IMO, its not. And its not that the pizza is bad. But its not the best thing Ive ever had, either... Idk...
