My city banned them months ago. Luckily I always saved them so I have a big supply. Now we have to use paper or reusable ones

Same here. I buy bags from Amazon, buy online (in general), or in neighbouring communities instead. Reusable bags are so bad for the environment its insane.

Yeah, but from next month I'll prob not buy as much since they will double the price for them, that is they add tax for them pretty much the same price as they are.

of course i save them.

trash bags for truck car house
food (take out & fridge storing)
recycling

i fold them in tight squares and tie them in a way that can be easy to store and easy to use. i have a plastic bag dispenser those folded bags are in and all i do i reach in the slot to pick them up when needed.

I stopped buying them a few years back and got a cloth bag for shopping. Still have a bunch of them in the drawer though. Buying actual garbage bags was cheaper in the end and supposedly better for the environment.

Wow, I'm one of the few who doesn't save them

Fact is, I saved them very briefly. Maybe for a couple months. But I always had too many. And I'm not saving a significant amount of money by keeping trash in my house, so I throw them away

We use them as trash bags for my brother's diapers. However New York is banning them as of March 1st, and the store our family regularly shops at has already gotten rid of them, so once our supply has run out I'm not sure what we're going to do. Regular garbage bags are expensive and while they're larger, once there's a poop-filled diaper it's going to have to be taken out whether it's full or not. Plus they can't simply be hung on the side of his bed easily like the grocery bags could.

I will admit the reusable bags are actually much better for groceries though, last week I was able to carry all the bags from the car to the house in two trips instead of like six or seven. And it is better for the environment too. I don't like how the cashiers always have to ask if we're buying the bags or if they're already ours though. Like they aren't demanding proof or a receipt or anything, but I wonder if it wouldn't be easier to just buy one store's reusable bags and use them at another's. Or if they would even allow that. Or if we should just get a permanent marker and write our name in huge letters on all the bags.

tl;dr: Yes, but not much longer

Yes, as garbage bags. I live alone and between that and the recycling program, I'd go months before I filled a normal garbage bag.

Yep, use them for all the bathroom trash cans and for dog poop.

I have like 20,000 of them though and could probably last several years off what I currently have but I'm gonna keep adding to it.
