Two packs a day since I was twelve. Cold turkey. Haven't had a smoke in almost twenty four hours now.

This sucks fat cocks. Last time I did this, I felt incredibly sick and angry. Now I just feel... uncomfortable? Twitchy? Like there's a ball in my stomach and lower back that won't sit still? I'd prefer the anger and puking, honestly.

Put the money that you'd spend on smokes in a jar or a bank account every week and have that as a reminder how much you're saving to help give you incentive to power through.

I appreciate it guys. I'm not too concerned about failing, as I have done this before* and once I decide to do something, it gets done. I'm just really shocked that the extreme flu symptoms I was prepared for are just absent.

*Note: I quit cold turkey and lasted six months before a misdiagnosis of terminal brain cancer caused me to start again because fuck it at that point, right?

Over two days later and I'm... fine? This is really confusing. Once every few hours I get a strange feeling of not knowing what to do with my hands, but other than that I'm experiencing none of the side effects one would expect.

I'm slightly concerned, but for the most part I'm just confused.

Welcome to the club; I've quit and relapsed; try cutting back if you relapse; like maybe 1.5 pks for a week, then 1pk for a week, then 1 pk lasts 2-3 days, and etc.

The first few days are the hardest I hear... keep up the good work. A co worker quit about a year ago after smoking for I'm sure at least 30 years. Just make it not an option for you to smoke. Put something in your mind that tells you that you just can't do it.
