Well, the biggest cause of global warming, if it truly exists as a man-made phenomena, is likely population growth moreso than anything else...

This is only because carbon emissions are a byproduct of modern civilization. If you develop better ones then population growth isn't an issue!

Also the population would just start growing again after an extinction event so that's some Thanos logic.

Nobody said it wouldn't. You could argue that industrialization is the a big factor to global warming, if a man-made phenomena, because it allowed for population growth to consistently rise and people to live longer.

Don't be alarmed by the increasing rate, the limit was always an identifying one, not a death rate increase. They still can't test or diagnose everyone.

Nah that's expected here due to what's holding the numbers back. They went from being able to test 1000 a day to 2000 a day to whatever it is now. They test, they release. They're still missing a ton and are purposefully not including everyone but it makes sense.

Apparently high sulfur dioxide readings have been present the last 3 afternoons through nights outside of Wuhan. The highest in the world at those times.

Estimated 80 is a normal average number. Wuhan has been around 1300-1500. Only other place in the stratosphere of this high is another infected area of China.

Supposedly these reading come from burning of biological matter.

Possibly from burning dead bodies. Though it could be from burning animals also.

Also, there is a video from a Chinese billionaire dissident that says China is covering up the deaths and that they are much similar to numbers that tencent supposedly "leaked" earlier on. (He doesn't reference tencent with his numbers). No idea where he could have gotten his numbers.

So, that's the conspiracy theorist angle, along with Wuhan University supposedly having multiple "Coronavirus patents" and this may have been an accidental outbreak.

The problem is that for the readings to be that high, they would have to be burning thousands upon thousands of bodies if it is truly human bodies they are burning.

it matches what crematories were saying in how they're going 24/7 and don't have enough staff or supplies.
when the initial story broke it was considered fake, within a week government said to burn every suspected death asap. that goes for anyone they knew with it and anyone who died of pneumonia that wasn't tested - and therefore isn't included in the current statistics. it's one of the known underreporting factors.

this is mostly a story continuing from previous information as people are trying to get info from crematories. we know of at least 7 in Wuhan that are supposedly going 24/7 and have been for the past 2 weeks, saying they're understaffed, overworked, don't have enough supplies, article on this interviewed two in different regions - one of the three downtown, one of the four suburban, both confirmed this and one said they're doing 100+ a day. so people are trying to get info on this since that's one of the few things harder to hide.

don't know what part you're from but this is mostly Wuhan. same with the door to door checks and forced containment camps, that's explicitly from the vice premier in charge of the situation in Wuhan who called it wartime conditions. outside of that area i don't think anything is nearly as extreme and while there's definite hyperbole on some media reports - Guangzhou City's warnings for example - Wuhan's the biggest one people are looking at.

Pnumonia is common due to the direct and indirect it can cause lung inflammation, that's the big one to look out for, especially if you've breathing issues like asthma. But if you're relatively young and healthy a few precautions should go a long way.

Just don't bring any children. They're more vulnerable, though that's the case for most of these diseases.

What? Have you ever been to Hubei? Honestly even a quick google search should tell you that Wuhan isnt some ass end of nowhere 3rd world village thats drinking from muddy rivers and lacking sanitation. The main problem is overcrowding not poor facilities.

Of course i haven't been to Hubei. China's just notorious for having shitty water even in its more premium, tourist focused cities like Shanghai or Beijing, plenty of testimony on that exists. Why would I expect the quality to be better in a place with less money and less of a public face?

And poor facilities are absolutely a problem, what? There's plenty of videos out there of these new "hospitals" built - it's literally lines of beds. Security is in its own containment pods. It's exactly what you'd expect. You can't remove overpopulation from the quality of a facility either, sheer numbers will always make it worse.

Lowest reported new cases today. While many hope this means it peaked, we cannot be sure as just a day ago China announced they were tweaking their formula for what they consider new cases.

If you come back positive for having the coronavirus you are no longer considered a confirmed case if you show no symptoms also.

I love how you are so mad that there are YouTube videos of a family being welded into their home and another of them bending bars on the doors to keep them inside to be quarantined.

The person in the video is explaining to the woman they are sick that is why they are welding them in. I mean, unless the video was entirely faked, which would be sick in its own right, I don't see how it could be wrong.

The other is them telling the family to stay inside and they ask if they have enough food for a few weeks and tell them they are not allowed to exit the building.

Yeah, that was never the intent of what I wrote.

I am referring to specific things. I am sure not everyone is beaten to be taken to a quarantine camp, welded inside home, barred inside home, removed in cubes. I am saying videos exist of this happening.

It is a primary source. The point is that there are extreme things happening due to the severity of the situation.

No. I assume it could be anywhere in the province or even surrounding infection areas. You would have to find the original source of the videos.
