Rey and Kylo are both on Mortis and both had force induced visions.

Rey's was a more complete version of her parents leaving her on Jakku. They seemed to be panicked and in a rush. Her Mom tells her they'll be back to get her soon and to wait for them.

Kylo has a vision of when he went off to join Snoke I guess? He was in at some cabin on a forested planet where Han and Leia live apparently? He's stomping around wearing a cloak and hood and Han is being like "Please take that off" "Don't go". I may not be reading it right but it's a really freaking bizarre scene and kinda contradicts TLJ

Finn is leading an underground Resistance on Coruscant. They found a buttload of old weapons from the days of the Empire.

Maybe it would've been better on screen but these Coruscant parts are a snooze fest

Finn does have some good "ex-stormtrooper" moments though. I liked the part where he has a heart to heart with a stormtrooper who is thinking of defecting and he was like "get a name"

I guess the logic was as Vader's grandson, and having fully tossed himself in the dark side, learning from Tor Valum, he was able to boost his power level a whole bunch.

After Kylo absorbs Valum, it cuts to a scene where Leia feels it through the force and her and Luke have a conversation where he's like "Ben is now stronger than even our father was"

From everything I've heard, the vast majority of cut stuff comes from the first act.

The scene where Kylo meets Palpatine originally occurred at the 20 minute mark.

Finn looks up...at a UNIT OF STORMTROOPERS.

The leader takes off his helmet, extends his hand.

Its RK-514.

He lifts Finn to his feet. Hands him a blaster.

Rafe.

FINN
I like it.

The other Stormtroopers take off their helmets and throw them aside. Diverse faces with a new purpose.

Freedom.

Context: Rafe is the stormtrooper who Finn told to "get a name" earlier.

Like, this is pretty damn corny but I love it. Stormtrooper rebellion. I'm in.

So Snoke sent Kylo and the Knights of Ren to destroy anyone who could oppose him. They discover that Rey's parents could pose a threat to Snoke's power and hunt them down but couldn't find her.

He would've been 15 or so when he killed them

But earlier it said he was 17 when he left to join Snoke

But he's in his early/mid 20s when he attacks Luke and burns down the Jedi temple

this timeline is so fucking wacky lol

C-3PO steels himself, hustles through laser fire and rips open the back panel of R8-O8.

C-3PO (CONT'D)
I do apologize for this.

He reaches into the droids innards and PULLS circuits out.

R8-08 BEEPS in distress, adding to C-3POs horror.

C-3PO (CONT'D)
Please go quietly.

Reys lightsaber drops to the stone.

She falls to her knees and SCREAMS, CLUTCHING HER EYES.

Shes BLINDED.

Rey is kinda dead after her fight with Kylo and she meets Obi-wan, Yoda, and Luke in the afterlife.

They applaud her for what she's done and for "teaching" them to embrace the dark and the light

Then they give her a choice of staying dead or going back to the galaxy and she opts to live again.

INT. CEREMONIAL HALL - DAY
Heroes at attention. LEIA SKYWALKER ORGANA in elegant white. Lando Calrissian and her top Generals around her.

Finn, Rose, Poe and Chewie stand before Leia.

She places Medals of Honor around each of their necks.

BB-8 beeps excitedly at their feet.

After 40 years of service, Chewie gets a medal.

Both versions have a variation of the medal thing, interesting. I prefer the TRoS one. Has more emotional meaning to it.

Leia picks up R2-D2s intact memory drive, rescued by BB-8.

She inserts it into R2-D2, reminiscent of the first time we saw the Princess with a droid.

R2 BEEPS TO LIFE.

As his files catalog into chronological order, he projects the contents of his memory banks... ....and we witness their adventures over 60 years, all from the droids perspective.

--Luke buying C-3PO from the Jawas...
--Obi Wan giving Luke his fathers lightsaber...
--R2 flying through the Death Star trench...
--Han getting his medal on Yavin...
--Yoda lifting the X-Wing from the swamp...
--Luke saluting from the plank on Jabbas barge...
--Leia and Han outside the bunker on Endor...

Leia is taken aback by the flood of memories.

It is a catharsis for her, and for us.

She takes a deep breath.

LEIA (CONT'D)
Thank you, R2.

Not gonna lie, this sounds incredibly heartwarming and I would've loved to have seen it.

Finn and Rose start a sanctuary for orphaned force sensitives while Poe and Chewie are off searching for Rey

The kids run toward her, joined by BB-8, who is faster.

Rey walks on toward the homestead.
