a common spot for me to die doing doom ironman is e1m5 when you take the elevator down to the symmetrical room with all the pinkies. there's a lot of monsters down there and it's easy to get boxed in.

I would do this if I was looking for a game to play right now, but am currently engrossed in one already.

Well I got to the third level in Doom 2. Died because I had completely forgotten about the ambush in the first room.

Might give it another try though later. But I doubt I could ever get much further.

Doom 2: got about half way through level 6 "The Crusher" before I got bored.

Whenever I do a hardest mode Ironman of Hexen I get beefed in the Wendigo trap room... luckily it's an optional room, only required to access the secret level for that Episode.

But dang it's easy to random die in Hexen!!

E1M6, died when I hit the switch near the end, and tried to escape the room after the door behind you opens with the 20 or so monsters, but got boxed into the corner.

Damn, I am out of practice, I thought I could at least make it past Episode 1.

I might try later, and assuming I can get past Episode 1, I'll try Doom 2 since that is the harder game.
