So actually reading the article, the Bernie supporter claimed he was attacked first, which led to the altercation becoming physical.

The counter after was the other guy being "shocked" at being physically confronted.

He probably shouldn't have been confronted, and he definitely shouldn't have knocked the Bernie supporters phone out of his hand, if that did indeed happen.

Not that I condone what happened, but I think what a lot of people don't realize about Bernie supporters is that there's a lot more at stake (politically speaking) for us than just getting him in office. It's about his ideas, and because not many people stand up for the things that he does, it is absolutely imperative that he gets in or we may not hear anyone (effectively) championing these ideas for quite some time from now. Furthermore, being constantly attacked for reasons that are usually quite petty (usually by people with a vested interest in keeping the status quo instead of actually trying to help people) will inevitably lead to backlash, and in some cases, toxic behavior through a sort of desperation.

It's why candidates like Biden or Bloomberg simply just aren't enough; the ball has to start rolling at some point, and they certainly aren't going to be the ones to actually step up and get things going. The waiting has gone on long enough, and the status quo needs to end.
