Reason I'm asking is because I'm worried about some muscle pains I'm feeling for a few weeks now. They're mostly located in the traps area, in the upper back and it radiates to my lower back.

I also have pains in both arms, and find that they're tender to the touch sometimes. Also my right leg (but not the left one) has periods of pain.

And yes, I've been to the ER a few times, but they just did cardiac and pulmonary tests to rule out heart attacks and such. But now I've been reading about autoimmune diseases and got pretty worried.

So if anyone here has any experience, how are the symptoms like?

I don't know about Lupus, but I suffer from Multiple Sclerosis. My first symptoms were impaired vision, mind fog and pains in the stomach. It progressed to weakness and pain in the hands and legs that never seems to end.
the only way to get a diagnosis seems to be by MRI and lumbar puncture.
Honestly, if you suspect an auto immune disease, you should demand a proper check-up, because once the damage is done, it stays with you.

I don't have any neurological symptoms. Just generalized muscle aches.

I had a customer at my last job who had lupus. Very nice lady but it took a big toll on her.

I presume my time here in my darkblack dragondark steel-obliterating solitude has come to its end as well.

I see a decent number of lupus patients in pregnancy. Lupus has a bunch of nonspecific findings and requires lab work to confirm. Muscular pain is not a typical clinical finding, especially if it is isolated.

I would go see a PCP for general wellness and also mention a concern for lupus to get better counseling.
