Just genuinely curious since I don't really follow this stuff

They want a moderate amount of effort (Bide n) put towards liberal goals rather than a large amount (Sanders)? Sounds kind of half-assy

Like they want Obamacare but don't want to totally do away with insurance? They want small steps towards clean energy but not large steps?

No.
Biden and Sanders do not represent two different degrees of effort toward the same general project. They represent fundamentally different and opposing projects.

Because people want to feel better about themselves without actually doing anything that could lead to a meaningful change. So a bland boring president like Joe Biden that will do the same ruining the country stuff Trump does, except y'know, more quietly is more than enough for most people.

What are some Biden projects? His policies on politico are very vague -- "supports but with limits"

A lot of people are like that yeah.

Like they want change but not 'too much' change.

It sucks.

Some people are socially liberal but fiscally conservative too. A lot of the media and celebrities seem to be like that.

Because Biden won't propose bills/etc that will hurt their bank accounts as much.

This is the most concise description of the average person who claims to be a democrat.

Bernie would basically have to spend his entire first term trying to get M4A to pass, and it doesn't even have broad Dem support.

So his other proposals, aren't even going to be addressed before that.
