I feel today's POTD didn't offer enough options for all the things my friends and I have given up to keep playing a video game, so, without further ado, here are other options for the gamers out there like me.

Still going with time. Time is the thing money buys you that the poor don't think about. It's the most important thing imo. It's def one reason I don't like this hobby.

Time is what I voted in the original poll as well. It's almost equivalent to all of the above for me, but I don't recall a time when I explicitly sacrificed romance for a game (maybe indirectly?).

Not much since high school. I still play games but very much in moderation

I have been fairly active with playing Final Fantasy XIV again so my massive backlog of other games on Steam have been put on hold for possibly another few years.

Back in college my grades did suffer and I almost lost my job from being too into World of Warcraft.

A year of university. By that point my second year was a lost cause but sinking 100s of hours into civilization 5 definitely didnt help

Morals to the story - Ex boyfriends are really ungrateful beings since I devoted 8 year of my life trying to convert him into a gamer
