I lifted yesterday for the first time in a week. Just getting over a sickness so I took it easy. I did 4 sets of squats at about 12 reps each with somewhat heavy but not too heavy, and then I bench pressed 4 sets at somewhat heavy weight and then did some running. Kept it basic with a few compound workouts.

I was gonna take the day off and then hit things harder again tomorrow and do my normal split routine, but I feel like going again today. Is there anything I could hit or is that a bad idea while I recover?

assuming you did fullbody yesterday (dunno the extent of your "few compounds"), just recover today. Otherwise, hit whatever you didn't hit yesterday.

Maybe do some cardio or just crank out a yoga session

Agree, do some cardio or yoga, or perhaps just go on a walk depending on how much you feel like you need to recover. Don't over do it.

I literally just did bench press and squats. One warmup set and then 4 real sets for each. Then I ran on the treadmill.

I'd recommend getting on a pre-written program so when you should lift isn't a guessing game.

Then you can probably rock deads and pullups (or rows) if you want, also with some more treadmill.

Buuuut if this'll cause an offset in your split, just chill and start proper tomorrow.
