Why would you think she's not real?

You'll probably survive the virus. But you should also quarantine yourself if you happen to get it, and going to nearly any store will be chaotic the more you wait so might as well stock up now.

been a prepper since 2012. i already have most of the shit id need. I did start getting more vitamins though.

regardless im more worried about people going nuts and buying everything up or trying to harm others over bullshit than i am the virus.

I've been buying a lot of dry goods like beans and rice lately because they're cheap and don't spoil easily - been trying to dig myself out of a bad financial situation.

Who knew it'd be a decent idea now. I've had a history of usually minor and annoying respiratory issues. I've been knocked on my ass by influenza before, and I'd rather be prepared if I contract another respiratory infection.

lol no, she would be the first to panic if she gets it. She won't be sprouting stuff like that if it's her or her family members. Just yesterday, we were emailing each other about telecommuting 3 days and she kept saying how it's unnecessary panic. Then she later panicked cause her daughter's school is closed. She'd be the first to run around like a headless chicken if it hits.

That's about my level of prep. I also have a gasmask with NATO filter, my pieces, alcohol, and baking supplies for in case I need to execute plan B.

Edit: plan B is hiding out for a month NOT becoming an anarchistic roving wasteland bandit.

Not surprised. My other co-worker was genuinely sad because Bloomberg dropped out of the race. She said he is the only one that has a chance with Trump because he knows Trumps secrets.

Either way, there isn't any real need to stock up, our president is currently convinced that it's already been contained in the us and won't let this become a campaign issue.

Well, there's plenty actually.

I'm more concerned with my parents than myself, they are approaching their 60's and my dad already went through chemo and radiation treatment. If he gets it, he's done. But he stays home anyways, so that risk is not as high. My brother is only 19 and very healthy as well, so the only one that needs to be cautious is my mom.

In terms of food and supplies, well we already have the basics because common sense. We always keep some bottled water, plenty of cash, gas, canned foods, peanut butter, frozen meats and fish, etc. Essentially hurricane essentials plus things like soap, sanitizer, wipes, first aid, and plenty of vitamin A/D fish oil pills, protein powders and sugar-free electrolyte powders.

The only issue would be fresh fruit and veggies for the nutrients and K2 to boost vitamin D, which is what viruses target in the first place.
