The game is full of broken mechanics you can abuse to make it a walk in the park even in the hardest mode. The enemies run towards you and stop right before reaching you and then they walk slowly giving you enough time to do anything....the A.I. is a joke. "Hey guys there's a ton Ganados coming after me. I'll just shoot one guy in the face and then do a devastating AoE roundhouse kick that will knock everyone away from me(while making me invulnerable). While they're taking their slow ass time to get back up I think I'll seal their fate with my knife" Not being able to change your weapons in real time is also terrible even for its time several games allowed you to do this....go watch a YouTube of mercenary mode the ones with high scores and I guarantee you they pause more than 20 times. The knife and pistol is already one of the most powerful weapons in the game. In fact you could clear most of the game with just these two weapons. And because you're not using your other weapons and ammo (because you're lol pwning with the knife) you can then sell your access ammo and other weapons and buy even stronger weapons to literally blow through the bosses. Let's not forget that if they somehow manage to grab you, it's insanely easy to get out of it and even kill them by kicking their head to explosion, and if you ever think you can get close to me then say hello to my grenades or shotgun lol. Don't get me wrong guys. I don't hate the game and I certainly enjoyed playing it. I just think it's highly overrated and doesn't deserve the praise Internet nerds give it. --- Don't like it? Veggeta X 03/11/20 9:46:04 AM #12:	*The 2nd most overrated game of all time is Xenogears.* The 1st is obviously RE4. Xenogears is the 2nd. Xenogears was a barely funded, rushed, half completed game. It's what gamers today would have called "barebones". They tried real hard to make the plot and setting of the game confusing as it can be by using themes such as ancient technology, reincarnation, religion, time lapse, sci-fi to inter-dimensional shit. During this era, Square thought that having a complex plot = good plot. They tried this with Chrono Cross too but as we all know having a clusterfuck of a storyline doesn't make it good. The 2nd disc consist mostly having a main character sitting on a chair in empty space literally telling you the plot. That's not even an exaggeration or a lie, it's literally what happens. I thought I may have bought an alpha version of the game when I first saw this shit but naw. They literally pulled that shit off. The gameplay consist on 2 main things; human fighting and mech fighting. The human fighting seemed normal and somehow unique at first for a jRPG. But as soon as you get mechs and get to the mech dungeons, shit goes down fast. You learn leveling up as humans is almost meaningless because most of the major fights are with mechs. Mechs aren't strong based on level, it's based on equipment. Be as strong as you want as humans but you are only as strong as the available equipment that are sold at the store LMAO!!! There are only about 2 interesting human dungeon IMO. Also the deathblow mechanic is some inconsistent horseshit with no real consistent way to level it up or being learned. I mean gamers conjured a theory on how to learn them properly but it's a clusterfuck. It certainly has it's charm I mean it has giant robots, it is made by Sqaure, it has good animation for its time, martial arts fighting, the subplot of anti-Christian, the horror subplots... it definitely has some positive. But not enough to say it's one of the greatest RPGs of all time. And that's why it's one of the most overrated game of all time. Despite the game's heavy heavy flaws, the majority of people still think this game is some fucking grand leisure of a game. --- Don't like it? Don't watch it. Stop tryna make it sound like he was something more than he not. ~~"B-b-b-but he became the God of Magic and destroyed the world!"~~ ~~Yes he did but he just pushed some statutes around. It wasn't even some master plan. He was just there and decided to do it out of desparation! It's a hella fun game and I can replay it any time but people ALWAYS try to dramatize its difficulty as a way to make it greater than it really is.
