maybe before we get to cars and other pollutants we get to a far more serious problem that is 1 million times worse than cars at destroying the environment.

right? Cars, for the moment, at least are essential for survival. Cruise ships are uh...for partying. This is utterly ridiculous. Theyre also dumping waste into international waters and ruining eco systems. They also use the dirtiest fuel.

There's only hundreds of cruise ships and over a billion cars, so I doubt it would make that big of a dent even if that statement isn't hyperbolic. Probably would still be a good thing to cut them down.

I don't get it either, it's just an expensive way to do things on a boat the same as I would on land.

Of course I'm looking at it from a family perspective, I could see the appeal if it was a singles cruise.

No but each cinvidual cruise ship is far far far more harmful then each individual car.

Its also easier to get rid of cruise ships then it is to get rid of cars. Cars are far more vital to the economy and lifestyle then cruise ships.

The point is convenience basically. It's like a super resort that takes you to your destinations. Everything like food, entertainment or whatever is paid for so they're decent value for money too. A cruise is one of those places where you can have cheesecake for breakfast because why not?

Cruises are super weird. Why not just stay at a resort? Why does it have to be floating?

Resorts don't go to different places, you have to pay to go there, food generally isn't included outside of maybe breakfast, etc.

I'll have my honeymoon on a cruise in a few months. Neither of us get to travel so we're seeing a bunch of places. There's a shitload of activities on the ship. I can abuse room service all day and order unlimited pb&j and never leave the room if that's what I want to do. Plus, we will probably never do it again and want to try it.

Ive been on 3 cruises. Theyre definitely relaxed but they also have constant activities going on where you can find something to do during the sea days basically all the time. The sea days can definitely get boring though.

What I enjoy is being able to see different cities and having food included in your price. Its definitely a gluttonous experience too because theres literally food everywhere, offered 24 hours.

That may be true, but that doesn't change the fact that the topic title is complete BS.
