Gabriel was an 8 year old boy who was beaten to death by his mother and her boyfriend. This mini documentary talks about the case and the trial, but not just the trial of his mother and her boyfriend, but also the trial of the 3 social workers that didn't do jack shit to help this kid out.

End them and be done with it. Why waste money to make their lives continue and be okay? I get the cases where you simply don't know, but not in clear cut cases.

The intro going over his injuries hit me harder then any other show or movie I can think of in a long time. Its terrible what that kid went through.

The last thing I remember watching like this that fucked me up was Dear Zachary and I don't really intend to watch anything like that again.

• The only food they found in him was cat litter
• Twice the sheriff came out after a call from the great-aunt to check on him and both times the mother said it was older kids beating him up. Sheriff tells Gabriel to stop lying or else be would go to jail
• Great aunt wants to know they believed the mom over the son

I work at a school and this makes me sick. How do you see a beat up kid over and over and not say anything. The teacher is, but just the one. The principle told her not to investigate

I just started watching it. The nurse in the opening got me tearing up cause of her sobbing trying to tell the story. I can tell this is gonna be fucked up

The mother should be put to death without a doubt. Its a shame public executions arent a thing anymore because i would pay to stream that.

This is heartbreaking with the security guard. He really tried to help but got shut down at every point.

So far what Ive taken away from this that didnt really feel before is that people should adopt kids instead of having them. If you want a kid, then go and get one in the system and help them become better, stronger people.

About to get really mad. Cop say they will come back in the morning to scare him to not make suicide threats. Another cop put him in the back of the car after his mom said he got beat up by older kids and told him he (Gabriel) would be put into jail if he lied again

With just the first episode my thoughts are that I cant understand how his mom allowed that stuff to happen. I havent seen all the details yet but they talked about the state he was in when he got to the ER and nobody does that level of violence to a kid without having something wrong with them.

I wonder if we'll get to hear from the jury that was on this trial. I have no idea where at in the case they are. They haven't even tried the mom yet. Guess that's season 2

This case reminded me of one that happened in the city I live in. Except the poor little girl was 5 when she was abused to death.

I have no interested in watching this based on this topic. After reading through it I am incredibly angry and sad at the same time.

I work at a school and have seen some pretty bad things as well. I'm one of those mandatory reporters, so I've had to report things before that I felt uneasy about.
