Using a pandemic as a means of stalling important legislation that will end up saving lives just so you can push a completely unrelated ideological agenda is evil, regardless of what that unrelated ideological agenda is. Imagine a bunch of children tied to railroad tracks with a train coming. You have the power to redirect the train. Instead of doing so immediately, you start bartering with bystanders as to what you're going to get for redirecting the train. That's evil. Anyone who views this situation as an ideal time to push for other things you want is a massive piece of shit.
