Asking people to stay in. Gatherings cancelled, things closing, Tim Hortons takeout only (lol).
For some crazy reason they moved my sister sister in law from their office to the hospital. Employer - nothing, business as usual
City - canceled all events with 50 or more people, and a few businesses have closed State - not much. The governor called a state of emergency, but then tweeted a pic of his family eating out at a restaurant. (Several people expressed approval and called those concerned about the virus "snowflakes." Nothing work-wise yet. But a couple groups I belong to have cancelled all get-togethers for the near future.
Dine-in restaurants closed down yesterday for I think a couple weeks. Schools shut down yesterday for a couple weeks. And the Hardee's went into lockdown yesterday afternoon exactly as I was waiting for my order to be filled - I got my order but the lady that'd come in 2 min after me had to leave and go through the drive-thru. So yeah; stuff's starting to happen. There are 3 diagnosed cases of coronavirus in the area, all made within the last week. Employer - Business as usual, though customers have to maintain a 6 foot distance from the next customer in line.
City - Certain entertainment venues (Prime Osborn Convention Center, TIAA Bank Field, cinemas) have been shut down and events canceled, restaurants are drive-thru and/or pick up from online orders only, most stores are running on different operating hours. Beaches have been closed as well. State - Apart from some cases in the Fort Lauderdale/Miami area, not much. --- When ancient man screamed and beat on the ground with sticks, they called it WITCHCRAFT. That sounds like my base. I was leaving the other day and noticed that things seemed the same. I saw these two people walking that I saw everyday. They havent stopped talking them walks. Employer: split up drive crews into crews of 3-4 people max (have to use two or three vehicles) and gave us a box of plastic gloves to use when we handle cars (work as lead for a rental car company).
Local: Nothing so far, even though the city nearest to me (Tampa, Florida) has announced that they're considering closing up tomorrow, even if the state decides that they won't. State: Closed the beaches, amusement parks, public parks, etc. but still haven't shut the state down entirely.
