Ill admit that I havent kept up with comics that much in the last year though. But 90s comics were an absolute dumpster fire. Spider-man has always been my favorite superhero so a few years ago I read every issue of Amazing Spider-man. I was really enjoying it until I got to the 90s comics. As soon as Todd Macfarlene left the series it basically became unreadable until the end of the decade. And almost every comic was edgy to the max to the point that it was just laughable. The art and writing quality of most series went into the shitter because everyone was just concerned about what stupid new gimmicky they could use to quickly sell issues. Things got so bad that Marvel almost went bankrupt. Some comics now might have cringey shit in it but theres a lot more variety now so you never have to read stuff like that unless you want to. Stories have never been more creative and interesting than they have been in the 2010s --- I'm the fly in the ointment, the spanner in the works. I'm unpredictable.
