We are friends. We were sort of doing things together for a while, but we never really dated. Did not smash. We are still friends and I've come to realize we probably aren't compatible anyway and she's been known to cheat and I've had fights with her so it's like, I'd be doing it to myself lol.

It sort of pains me to this day because I never got the chance to give it a full go. Maybe at the end of the day I'd see we weren't really compatible, maybe she wouldn't have been that great, maybe I wouldn't have liked her that much if I knew her better than I did. But maybe we would have gone the distance, who knows. It's shitty because I don't feel any girl that came after could live up to the idea of her in my mind. Fortunately enough time has passed now that I've slowly come to terms with it all and forgotten. I think "dream girl" is sort of like "soulmate" where it's kind of just a bunch of shit, really. You could have an amazing relationship with probably thousands of different people, and they'd all show you something new about the world or about yourself and help you learn and grow as a person in different ways.
