I'm putting in my 2 weeks notice today cause they won't shut down my job. and I can't take it anymore. was gonna just outright quit but my boss talked me into giving it 2 more weeks. but depending on how bad it gets, I may just stop going in before that time. I'm keeping an eye on the news and gonna judge each day as it goes

but yea, I should be getting hazard pay

I'm a cardiology tech at a hospital (EKG interpretation on patients and things like that).

I'm just glad that I'm in a job where I can still go to work and get a paycheck at this point TBH.

I don't believe we are at this moment because we don't have outbreaks of COVID-19 at our hospital. I dunno if they're doing that anyway for my job specifically because I have minimum patient contact.

Like I said I'm just glad to go on my normal pay at this point. I have friends that are laid off with jack shit

Where do you work at?

I do security for a municipal court. I work at the front door. So running people through the metal detector, and put their bags through xray/hand search

We have security at our ER entrances that have to do the same for patients coming in. I feel especially bad for them because they're the first people that have to deal with someone coming in hacking up a lung.

Thats definitely the most annoying part. Its too dangerous for any other employee to get within 10ft of someone from the public. Literally wont get anywhere close.

But its safe enough for me to be face to face, getting coughed on, etc

its not a matter of if I get exposed, its when.

I work for an extremely small, pest control company. Small as in we only have 3 employees and I'm the main field technician. So basically if I'm not working, the company isn't functioning lol.

Tbqh it's actually been kinda nice. Fewer cars on the road and less traffic, customers aren't answering the doors cuz they're afraid to come outside, the ones that do answer aren't talking my ear off, so everything just moves faster lol.

good question. Im contracted by security company to be here, but weve had the contract for over a decade.

if the court required that we still get paid(like they do for holidays), I think itd be alright.

wont happen though, courts are too essential. though some in my area have shut down
