https://globalnews.ca/news/6705251/coronavirus-modelling-toronto/
For epidemiologists modelling the novel coronavirus, predicting the future is an inexact science. But two Toronto experts agreed that shutting down schools for only a month is not enough to stop the spread of COVID-19 and said they believe social isolation could continue for months, if not years. People should at least entertain the possibility that the school year may be done this year. Im hesitant to speculate what will happen in September, but its also possible that well be dealing with a disrupted school year in September, said Ashleigh Tuite, an epidemiologist whos part of a research group at the University of Torontos Dalla Lana school of public health. --- Come check out my community board for NEET discussions: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/1467-neet-discussions ... It's not going to last years. Eventually countries fight off the outbreak and face the peak in 2-3 months.
After that, I imagine traveling and tourism will stay blocked to prevent resurfacing the pandemic and eventually the cure/treatment and vaccine will end the outbreak completely. I'm hoping this will strongly curb tourism, which is a very good thing that would solve a lot of environmental issues and prevent future outbreaks. --- Currently playing: Phoenix Wright Spirit of Justice ... That's not the same as "the doctor said social isolation should last years". That's what the author wrote. We looked as far as 32 weeks. Youre still going to have a lot of people infected, and youre still going to have a number of people requiring hospitalization beyond what we think our current health care system can support, she said. Again, the doctor's actual quote mentions they only looked out as far as 32 weeks. That isn't years. What you're referencing is this paragraph, written by the author and not said by the doctor: Jane Heffernan, the director of York Universitys Centre for Disease Modelling, would not predict how long she believes shutting down schools and working from home could last. But she acknowledged she has seen studies suggesting it could be months to two years, including a study from Imperial College in London that predicts social distancing could continue for 12 to 18 months. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz.
