I'm bored with everything, I can't find the motivation to even get dressed, I'm tired despite doing nothing all day, and I'm fighting with my boyfriend and just not enjoying the time I spend with him. I just wait until I'm sleepy enough to go to bed and do nothing. I feel just awful all the time. Am I depressed? If so, what should I do?

It sounds like you are, but clinical depression is better left to a Dr to diagnose. It does sound serious, and I think you should talk to a professional however.

I think it's because I'm stuck inside and worried about running out of money, mostly. But it could be something else, I'm not really sure.

That's a good question. I don't think "sad" is quite the right word. It's not like I'm crying or feel the way I usually do when I'm sad. It's more like I'm just not happy or just don't feel anything, especially not anything positive.

Do you sit there and want to play something but then you lose your motivation to do it? Like usually its something you'd want to do but it ends up not being enjoyable and you can't even focus? because I have that problem. I have bad depression but I have been able to avoid my episodes but sometimes it leaks out.

I see a therapist and a psychiatrist, and I take antidepressants. You can try asking your main doctor about getting an antidepressant and try one, but there are a lot of things you can only get from a psychiatrist.

Is it a recent thing with the whole COVID-19 situation or has it been going on for awhile?

I've definitely felt a change in the energy of the people I interact with and work with for the worse since things have shut down and been cancelled. There's a lot of negativity going around and I'm trying to do my best to keep above it myself but can't say I've been totally unaffected.

Don't listen to this, you need Doctor, meds, and/or therapy.

It's a hormonal imbalance if you have actual depression (that isn't from things like having moved recently and just adjusting).
