I've heard of several deaths where patients had high suspicion for covid and died, but the test eventually came back negative after they died. But the test is only 70% sensitive as of now.
Some people are testing twice if they have an initial negative test but high suspicion. So based on that I'd say there is some decentlu large percentage, anywhere from like 5 to 25 percent that are unrecorded deaths. But that's a total guestimate. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Which is why I said we need more information. How many more people are dying than are being reported? It is it a significant number? Saying "Grossly under-reported", than backing that up only with circumstantial evidence is not helpful. Is every hosipital only reporting one or two unreported deaths? Are there hospitals that are recording deaths from people dying of Covid-19 that weren't actually killed by the virus, and vica versa, were some deaths that were recorded not to be Covid-19 related, in fact, Covid-19 related. We also need to know more about these people dying that are "Genuinely healthy". Did they have an underlying condition we didn't know about, nor did they, like the twenty-one year old Socer player that died from Covid-19 based after learning he had Leukhemia the same day he was admitted? I'll say it again - right now all we have are straight numbers. We have no idea of telling if Covid-19 is more or less dangerous than what we have right now. We should be doubling down as hard as we can on undrestanding the virus, and those it's claimed, so we can get a better idea of what we're dealing with rather than just here-say and numbers. Numbers are helpful, but insight into what those numbers actually mean is far more important. --- Each person might see a rose with a different shade of red, but the fact that we can all agree on is beauty -- that is a miracle. -Michea, FFXI ... My bet is the undiagnosed cases significantly outnumber the uncounted deaths so the percentage should be lower. No way for us to know though. This is my guesstimate as well. With the current expected infection rate stating that around 80% of people experience little to mild symtpoms (mild being the operative word here - it still feels like the flu if you get it), I imagine that when this is all said and done, the global death of the virus will be significantly lower. Not Flu low, but probably closer to the 1-2% mark. The infection rate though is probably still going to be close to seasonal flu levels, if not higher. --- Each person might see a rose with a different shade of red, but the fact that we can all agree on is beauty -- that is a miracle. -Michea, FFXI ... If 5 million or more people in the US have cases, that means that the overwhelming majority of people infected with Covid-19 are completely asymptomatic, and are not affected by the virus in any meaningful way.
