This is getting ridiculous. I see many trolls and ignorant users making false statements about the virus or repeating damaging rhetoric from certain sources that puts other people's lives in danger. I've yet to see really anyone get dealt with that's doing this. People's lives are in danger and there are users here that can fall victim to these false narratives and blatant misinformation.

It would also help if the mark function wasn't so vague and I actually knew what the fuck I'm supposed to mark these posts as, as apparently trolling is no longer an option.

Should be a penalty in real life situations too, everyone seems to have just brushed it off.

I wonder this myself actually. Especially when I can't decide between marking something as abusive behavior or offensive. The descriptions don't even match up, as if they were meant for the other option.

Idk why they changed the marking system.

Is this like the guy who got modded from saying you couldnt get it from eating an infected cheeseburger and it turns out he was right?

I mean it still boils down to "why the fuck are you promoting eating infecting cheeseburgers"

And even if it was the case he was wrong, it wouldn't be nearly as bad as the people posting genuinely manipulative things like "young people don't die from this" and "the victim must have had underlying symptoms" or "only old people" and "it'll go away when it's hotter" and other stupid anti-social distancing bullshit.

They need to just make a forum where you talk about coronavirus and basically put a moratorium on it everywhere else.

There is such a thing as overreaction, even to a serious issue. I think everyone has an agenda with this and Trump's is to stir up fear of China. I don't disagree with getting our supply chains out, but that's his prime motivation here. Let's admit it. Stimulus has also been a rush to the piggy bank for every special interest group out there, and of course the more people are scared the quicker they want to push massive bills through without oversight.

So I think there has been an overreaction, we should focus on protecting the most vulnerable, but trying to blanket ban everyone's movement is going to hurt a lot of people. It's way too broad, and at this point it's like the equivalent of everyone falling sick out of the workforce at the same time for 2 weeks, with no end in sight. That's more harmful to a lot of people. On top of this virus, they shouldn't have to worry about losing their jobs.

Well I'm not surprised there's such a lenient take on it considering the Beep Bep Boy was trolling it for a month and a half. He's also been verwy verwy qwiet about it lately.
