Dumbest aliens in the universe

Signs had aliens show up to a whole new planet thats 98% made of the one element they cant touch BUCK NAKED.

Independence Day had aliens, despite having their own gigantic advanced ships, use OUR satellites to communicate to each other during their invasion of our planet which led to jeff golblum being able to send a computer virus to their mothership.

Which movie has the dumbest aliens in the universe?

Those aliens would utterly gape the aliens in these two movies though. They didnt fuck around.

the aliens in War of the Worlds.

Earth's entire atmosphere was toxic to them, iirc, and without doing any kind of research or anything, they got out of their ships without any protection.

Yeah I think some of the family survived in a cellar or something in Signs.

Instead of wasting resources, they used already deployed satellites which is pretty smart.
And what would happen if they had deployed their own satellites, it would just be more targets that some itchy fingered human would try to shoot down or try to steal.

That said, I never understood why they would need them in the first place. The big modership in space should have direct contact with the ships on almost half the planet, and seeing that they placed ships over the biggest cities on the planet, they should be close enough to a ship that indirectly got contact with the mothership in one or more steps. And why send a countdown signal? They got no countdown routine on the computers in their ships? Time changed because of gravity shouldnt be big enough to make a difference.

Think of all the resources that would be wasted that way.

what resources? the ones that would have been immensely easier to mine from the kuiper belt, or any asteroid belt in any other system between theirs and ours? the only resource unique to our planet is people, and they weren't picking up scores of people to populate their zoos and dinner tables.

no, the only reason they attacked in that movie was to get rid of a potential future threat (as stupid as that is). and smart aliens with intergalactic traveling abilities would have just pummeled our planet with space rocks from a distance.

This makes me wish they would do a follow up movie where we see the alien civilization and what this military operation meant for the family members that had to stay at home to raise the children while their daddies left for a routine 3 monther.
