Due to personal reasons, I keep out of GameFAQs batte contests. However, I can't help but admit that the selection of games makes me curious to see what the game is and how it got in the contest. I've used GameFAQs to find new favorites for years. So I went ahead and looked up everything I wasn't familiar with just to see what they're like.

Seeing Ys VIII and Trails in the bracket warms my heart up. I didn't expect one, let alone two, Falcom JRPGs to actually even appear in something like this. I didn't play Trails yet, but Ys VIII was such a damn beautiful game.

Also, FFXIV intrigues me. I only played a small trial of it once since I don't play MMOs. But it's also a beautiful game that my girlfriend and several of my friends enjoy. I foresee it going far.

Anyway, interesting bracket. I see some indie games I might look into soon.
