I always just knew this guy as a prolific composer. Did music for a lot of Tim Burton movies (Batman, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, etc). Tons of other big movies/series like Men In Black, Spider-Man (Sam Raimi). Crafted iconic TV theme songs like The Simpsons, Tales From The Crypt. I wasn't a huge Oingo Boingo fan or anything, but of course I've heard several of their singles (Private Life, Weird Science, Dead Man's Party, Little Girls, etc). When they had a falling out, Danny had a semi-midlife crisis and switched Oingo Boingo's direction to producing grunge-ish rock with some influence from his composing career: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSuvPuQM7qc Also, earlier on, the band served as the backing band for a Japanese artist, Mayo Shono, on one of her albums.
