I have a bunch of blue pansies because of hybrid island, and they just started growing purple ones.
still working on getting other hybrids.

Ive been able to spawn every "basic" colored hybrid except Blue Windflowers so far (the white ones just dont want to cooperate for some reason). Set up breeding pairs to make the primary hybrids for Mums and Pansies and am waiting for those seeds to grow and took up a chunk of my island to set up a bunch of small plots to being the process of making the hybrid red roses that can breed blue at a 1/4 rate instead of 1/64

Yeah Roses in shops are hard to come by and a bunch of people online who do have them wanna charge now to let you come buy them, i was able to amass a nice stock of seeds of every type before that started happening

anyone got cosmos? they're the only flower type I still need.

Ohh, yeah thats just from 2 whites, mustve rained and 2 of the native flowers were close enough to breed.

If it had been Pansy or Windflower that woulda been huge, woulda meant that native flowers that were already on your island have special properties

The thing is there are multiple flowers you could call "hybrid reds". The "hybrid" lingo for them isnt even "official" a community invented thing in order to specifically identify the Red Roses that have a possibility to make Blues when talking about them for ease of understanding. In reality they are just basic Red Roses with slightly altered gene combos from Seed Reds based on the 2 flowers that spawned it. You can have "hybrid reds" that will only spawn a blue with a 1/64 probability every time they do breed and you can have "hybrid reds" that bump that up to a 1/4 probability and everything in between. Unless they just start spelling out the exact gene combo of every individual flower theres no practical way for the game to distinguish that to the player (and kinda defeats the whole purpose of the genes being a "hidden mechanic" just like if you were breeding real flowers)

No and it pisses me off. You can't connect your paths to the plaza or the entrance of the Museum either, because it doesn't let two different things combine like that.

It's the same thing with fences, you can only properly corner them off if the horizontal and vertical component are the same fence type.

Spawn time of 4 AM - 8 AM and 5 PM - 7 PM and apparently they are significantly more rare in that evening span than they are in the morning. I ran around my friend's island for 1.5 hours of that 2-hour span this evening and never managed to have a single one spawn.

Yes you can use the clean up/removal option (whatever it's called) in the terraforming app, although that gets rid of everything on your screen (including furniture and trees) so that might not work for you.
