People. It's always about the people. Why else would we have organized societies if we don't focus on the people?
Anyone who says the economy is probably full of themselves and, I would guess, they probably are the ones still going out instead staying home.

Money is more important. If it wasn't yall woulda been washing your hands and I wouldn't need a free flu shot every year (through ins) so I wouldnt miss work to make sure I can afford the meds I am gonna need when 6g rolls out

Money is unfortunately definitely also important, hence my concerns. It's required to live.

I mean sis is still in unemployment limbo. Got strung along for like 5-6 years, being promised things she never got, just to be laid off and have nothing to show for it but deeper depression and self worth issues.

Wait, so do trump supporters actually admit to him not caring about Americans? If so, why do you still support him?
Idk how I could support someone who does not care for me at all, unless they're just more focused on a group of people who need support.

The economy with a couple of caveats, basically not opening NYC right now in order to make sure the virus fizzles out in a timely manor, opening NYC will result in the virus not fizzling out in a timely manor. Also, conventions, theaters and theme parks should stay closed for now.

For myself? I value my finances far more than my health. I would gladly choose death over living with poor quality of life.

Why do you assume he doesn't care? Lots has been done you know. Hopefully he doesn't have to make a personal appearance for you to realize. On the flip side there's a LOT more on his plate that has to be taken into account. Yes business, the economy, trade with other countries has some importance so you have a life to go back to once this blows through.

This is why I don't respect the bashers. They focus so much on finding things to criticize that they never see what else is getting done.

Healthcare

On a honest note, I wonder if they realize how much of a breakdown in mental health is going to cause for those who haven't really dealt with a crisis like this. Thankfully for me I still have outpatient therapy but it's over the phone. ( and the choice of skype / zoom )

Was telling my therapist I know when things start to return to normal ( hopefully soon ) that there will be alot of people wanting / needing to go somewhere to vent / cope with things.

It's really scary out here, as much as I am a homebody, I'm really scared for my family / friends who still have to work outside of home

What he did was remove funding from the CDC before this happened and fired the people trained for events like this.
Those are all things for personal gain and not for the benefit of the (American) people.

Obama had a crazy bad economy that he inherited, and handled it quite well. On top of that, there were Ebola and other outbreaks he handled swiftly.

All you gotta do is compare trump to his predecessor to see how poorly he has handled being a leader. Maybe Obama set a high standard of leadership, but that's no excuse to lower the bar.

Trump is good at representing the average American. I will totally give him that. The average American is an entitled, self absorbed person who would rather step on toes than work hard though.
So yeah, he represents his people well, but that's not a good thing. He leads them terribly.

I say economy because no one in the country would avoid money but its suprising how many avoid free healthcare be it vaccine, mental health or sometimes just routine health clinics that offered free checkups.

Dont get me wrong health care needs to be ramped up but not at the expense of the economy that feeds it. Nasty catch 22 there.

So you alone somehow knew it would balloon into this months before it started? Huh, I might believe that... In retrospect maybe hoax was the wrong word but the reality was he had no reason to drive the country into a panic by overreacting. The haters would have criticized him for appearing weak if he did too much early on. Nevermind the fact he has dealing with that fake impeachment so we could place some blame on them for the disruption.

You always have people for and against the pres, this isn't news. How do you grade 'better' anyway? The economy is worldwide and we can only do so much with it.

the impeachment couldn't be fake since you had republicans and even people directly in trumps camp say he did it but that it doesnt rise to the level of removal

So fake people who worked with trump are saying he did it.

They say that because they gotta blame him for something new every day. It was a joke. They should know that while they were wasting so much money and time, they can share some of the blame for this.

Are you that dense? How or what does he gain? The economy is a worldwide thing that needs to be considered. He's a businessman so some of it will affect him but compared to everything else he's small fries. That Cuomo guy wants to restart things, I guess you'll fault him next?

Ah, and if money wasn't your daily scapegoat you'd be saying he's doing it for votes. Funny how well the goalposts move. First was blame for doing nothing. I want people to realize that this could have been handled much, much better by a lot of other potential candidates.
I can almost guarantee cuts to the CDC would not have happened if a dem was in office, a trillion dollars wouldn't have been dumped and lost in minutes before considering the people, and we'd probably be in a better unified state about things. I doubt this would have been denied as a hoax, then blamed on other people, and then turned around as if this was serious for trump the whole time.

He's a business man and has put that before people constantly, if not always. If he wasn't so blinded by money, it'd probably be more obvious, but he's also a failed business man, so his plans don't work out well, I.e. $1.5 trillion lost in like 15 minutes.

By not cutting from the CDC (which he then restored some) is the obvious way we could have been better prepared.

To me, it's clear you'll follow Trump no matter what.

We could talk about other countries, but then you'll probably have to mention some pretty crummy leaders to make trump look like a leader.

I read both and still see nothing to back your claims. One day you want more, the next day less. Anything to bash him. There's no precedent to this so unless you have some magical plan nobody else could think of then I'd say ride it out like the rest of us.

Our healthcare obviously man. The only way for me to get any proper treatment is wait till I get really sick, or worse. Go into triage, five a fake name and address to avoid an insane medical bill. And that's pretty much rinse and repeat. I have no insurance... And people without insurance are at the low end of the totem poll in life if you can't find your way around it like I do. You gotta survive somehow anyways.

Without a good economy you can't get healthcare. People keep thinking that you can shut everything down and still expect to see a doctor when you need to. They're as dependent on supply chains and their own safety as anyone else. Did you mean personal health?
