I know some people bought PS3's at launch for $600 and sold them for thousands, in one instance $10,000. Does that still happen or is that a thing of the past? I figure nowadays there is always supply due to big corps, so everyone just waits a month after launch and the consoles are resupplied again. Or am I wrong?

Lets say Xbox One Series X arrives in September. How many months until it's stocked on shelves again? I'm just curious if this shit still exists lol. Is there going to be some wealthy person who purchases 30 Xbox's and sells them for $1000 each online. Or actually Amazon/Ebay might ban you for that? They banned people mass hoarding hand sanitizer.

Usually site they try to sell it at (eBay, Amazon, etc) will shut it down. Example is the P.T. ps4/switch release. Yet, they do make some money just not the amount they want.

Haha thats what I was curios on. So they probably sell 5 or 10 before they're banned? Then the rest they keep or lose money on but they still made a little profit?

I mean hell I'm thinking of purchasing a single one for my brother. I don't play games anymore. But if he stays in over seas I'd like to see how much it bids for on Ebay. I might get lucky and some wealthy person forks $10,000 for it. I really want to pay my student debt.

Sometime more depending on the volumes of sellers on the site doing the same thing. And usually the rest they can't sell online are sold to retro stores or return if they can.

Crazy.. I wish I could see this but it's a secretive world. I googled it but nothing comes up. Imagine if there is a self made millionaire somewhere in the world because he buys hundreds of launch consoles and sells them for a couple thousand each. Insane. There has to be a crazy story out there.
